This fundraising event called, "Thrift w/ DEM + Halloween Candy Grams" will be hosted by Delta Epsilon Mu. This in-person event will occur at Scholar's Lane throughout the week of October from the 25th -  29th. The purpose of this fundraising event will be to raise enough money for stoles in both the Fall 2021- Spring 2022 semesters. Also, it will give us the opportunity to engage with the community of Merced by taking in donations made from the general public. The donations for the thrift fundraising event are not just limited to Actives of DEM, but open to all who'd like to donate to our event. Thrift w/ DEM event is where Actives will donate two items ranging from clothes, accessories, school supplies, utensils, artwork, etc and even candy bags will be used as an alternative form of donation in order to make the Halloween Candy Grams. All donations not sold in the event will be donated to the local Goodwill or any available thrift store as a donation made from Delta Epsilon Mu. This event combines both ideas where the donated candy bags will be used to sell in-person so that it can give customers the chance to buy candy grams for their friends, families, professors, TAs, etc during the week of Halloween. A friendly covid-restricted community engagement!
