The Haunted House is a long standing tradition at UC Merced, hosted by the Business Society. This event takes place the week of Halloween, and is an opportunity for the UC Merced Community to get into the Halloween spirit. Our organization will be decorating the DEN on campus, and creating an aesthetic similar to Fright Fest or Horror Nights at amusement parks in California. Our members will be wearing costumes and "jump scarring" guests as they walk by. We are anticipating a high volume of participants, however we understand that COVID is still running strong, so we will be limiting the number of people that walk through the building at a time. Masks will be required for guests and participants/volunteers; all costumes will be sanitized throughout the entire process. We are doing everything we can to create an environment that is not only safe, but also a fun and memorable time for all involved.
