This virtual open classroom will discuss free speech, academic freedom, and the dangers of censorship and silencing focusing in particular on the September 23rd open classroom co-organized by Rabab Abdulhadi, director and senior scholar of the Arab and Muslim Ethnicities Diasporas Studies, Dr. Tomomi Kinukawa, Faculty Lecturer in Women and Gender Studies at San Fransisco State University. Professor Abdulhadi and Kinukawa will join Professor Sean L. Malloy (UC Merced, history and Critical Race and Ethnic Studies) in this roundtable discussion along with the original panelists of the censored open classroom.
