UC Merced's Astronomy Club invites the campus community to observe the Orionid Meteor Shower starting at 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. You might catch an Orionid meteor any time between about Sept. 26 to Nov. 22, but its peak will happen between Oct. 21 and 22 and you could see up to 20 shooting stars per hour. 

The Astronomy Club will meet at the dirt portion of Lake Yosemite, (see map below).
