About this Event
Newcomers' Night is the Dungeons & Dragons Club's biggest event of the semester. We introduce new gamers to the world of D&D and experienced gamers to other TTRPG systems through a fun night of separate one-off adventures. We aim to provide a safe, engaging space for guests to learn the mechanics, lore, and etiquette of D&D while making new friends and engrossing themselves in the UC community. With this event, we hope to introduce UC students to our club and the RPG community.
The structure of the event is as follows: everyone meets up in a large room to introduce the Dungeon Masters (people who will be running games) and sign up for the group they want to play in. Usually, free food like pizza is distributed during this time. Then, every group splits off into their own room and plays a single-session game that usually lasts a few hours. Attendees split off when their session is over or when the event ends and are encouraged to attend future regular club meetings.
