I'll overview OpenCV (https://opencv.org/), the Open Source Computer Vision Library, now getting 200K downloads per day,
then discuss OpenCV's uses in AgTech via the farm-ng's https://farm-ng.com/ Amiga, a small electric autonomous farm
robot. I'll finish with a look towards the future of computer vision and AI.
Biography
Gary Bradski, PhD is a leading entrepreneur and computer vision researcher. He founded the most popular computer vision library in the world: OpenCV http://opencv.org/. He led
the vision team for Stanley, the car that won the $2M DARPA Grand Challenge (now in the Smithsonian) which started the autonomous driving industry. Gary was a visiting Professor at Stanford CS department for seven years. His startup list is: VideoSurf that sold to Microsoft in 2011; Industrial Perception Inc. which sold to Google in 2013; Arraiy which sold to Matterport in 2019 and Gauss Surgical that sold to Stryker in 2021. He serves on the boards and advisory boards and is a now founder of OpenCV.ai, an AI contractor and CSO of farm-ng, makers of modular autonomous tractors.
