This presentation will focus on library resources and services of particular importance to graduate students in the Management of Complex Systems/MIST programs. The presentation will demonstrate the use of databases of use to MCS/MIST graduate students, list services for graduate students and how to access them, and address issues and resources like citation managers, publication of theses and dissertations in eScholarship (the university’s institutional repository), and academic integrity at UC Merced.
Speaker Bio
Olivia Olivares is the Instruction & Outreach Librarian at UC Merced’s University Library. Olivia has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Northern Arizona University, and a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of Arizona. She has almost 30 years of experience as an academic research specialist, with concentrations in Business, Economics, and legal research. Prior to coming to UC Merced, Olivia was Associate Professor at St Cloud State University, Minnesota, and Assistant Librarian at the University of Arizona Libraries.
