Identity and Access Management (IAM) is an essential enabler to building a secure UC Merced - it is the system that manages user account creation, passwords, Single Sign-On and affiliations for secure access to UC Merced applications and resources.

 

Because IAM has so many touchpoints in the UC Merced ecosphere, the Office of Information Technology's IAM team is organizing two feedback sessions to discuss recent updates to the IAM system, our roadmap for upcoming changes, and to gather feedback from UC Merced faculty, staff, and students about how our planned changes may impact them.

  • IAM's new design & functionality
  • Possible name change to "UCMNetID"
  • Split between myaccount and identity management
  • Addition of a Security Check process
  • Selection of UCMNetID
  • Account Sponsorship Process Change
  • Alumni Definition Change
