At UC Merced approximately 75% of scholars are First Generation Students.  Always demonstrating their hard work ethic and desire to be successful in and out of the classroom, First-Generation Scholars at UC Merced enhance our campus environment! UC Merced remains the institution where First-Generation scholars succeed.  Join us for a weeklong celebration (11/06/23 - 11/09/23) honoring the remarkable journey and accomplishments of First-Generation students on our campus. (The significance of the First-Generation College Celebration Week.)
