El Club de Español best known, as ECE is an organization created for all the people who feel the need to be re-connected to their cultural roots, however, it is open to other ethnicities that are passionate by the Spanish language as well as their native language.  The main purpose of ECE is to make all the members feel like in a family environment away from home that provides the members the power and freedom to express themselves with Spanish, Latin American music, dance, art and literature learn through the club and Spanish classes.  El Club de Español is an organization that wants to promote education and unity in the environment and there is no intention to create or promote inequality between UC Merced students.
