The Economics and Business Management department at UC Merced focuses on the behavior and management of individuals, organizations and institutions in the economy. The Management and Business Economics (B.A.) degree responds to the growing demands and needs of the modern business world and includes rigorous analytical and quantitative training from a blend of fields including economics, accounting, finance, marketing, and strategy. The Economics degrees (either B.A. or B.S.) include microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, statistical and econometric methodology, as well as applied economic, social and policy analysis in areas such as economics of gender and poverty, international economics, labor and health economics, international trade and immigration.
