Dynamics of Cellular Processes from Molecules to Networks and Cells: QSB seminar

Lecture/Seminar - Natural Sciences | December 14 | 1-2 p.m. | 267 Classroom Building

5200 North Lake Rd, Merced, CA 95343

Quantatative

This seminar focuses on the integration of theory and experiments that further understanding of the dynamics of RNA:protein complexes involved in translation.

High-performance computing allows integration of data from structural, biochemical, evolutionary and single-molecule studies into coherent computational models of cells and cellular processes. Using posttranslational networks, researchers analyze the stochastic reaction-diffusion dynamics of selected biochemical pathways in Escherichia coli to show how individual cells vary expression of a set of genes in response to an environmental signal.
