Jim Costa and challenger Brian Whelan, at UC Merced. The newly drawn 16th district comprises parts of Merced, Madera and Fresno County. The event is open to the public. Questions for the candidates can be submitted at the event. The event starts at 7 p.m. in the California Room on campus.
