UC Merced Professor Maurizio Forte will participate in the Art in Science Gallery Gala at UC Berkeley.

When the realms of art and science intersect, what emerges? View original, stunning and often astonishing images of scientific investigation and meet the scientists who created them. Take a virtual journey through an ancient Chinese tomb, explore exoplanets, discover eco-origami and ponder visualizations of deep mathematical concepts.

Browse the exhibits, enjoy live music and refreshments and join us for special presentations.The event takes place from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 1 and 2 at UC Berkeley.

It's all part of the Bay Area Science Festival, and the art event takes place at Berkeley Arts Festival Gallery, 2133 University Ave.
